Gabriel and his friend--Raphael were picked up by a city shelter as very neglected, matted and pitiful strays---- Gabriel is about 17 pounds--he has natural ears and a cropped tail---his mouth was in horrible shape and he lost all of his teeth when he got his dental--he is doing great now--feeling so much better---- he eats moistened kibble and some wet food and has no problems --this boy appears to have had some training--he sits and does down---- He sleeps quietly in his crate at night--and does not tear up his bed---although he is estimated to be betweem 8-10--he gets around great and has lots of love to give--loves to talk a walk or play in the yard when the weather is nice--- Since he is older--we would prefer he not live with small kids or large dogs--he would be fine as an only--In his foster home he has also adopted another puppy schnauzer we rescued named Bob who is about 4 months old and only about 5 pounds---Gabriel looks after him and they love to play and snuggle. Gabriel and Bob are fostered together and get along great--they do not need to go together but they are a great pair----contact leeselman@comcast.net for an application for this sweet boy--ask about Bob as well---- Contact leeselman@comcast.net for an application---please know that we are looking for quality homes that will give him the vet care and grooming that he needs-he did not have that in his former live--and we want him spoiled this time around---- ~~All of our dogs are spayed/ neutered before adoption. Adult dogs have had their core vaccines; parvo, distemper, bordatella, rabies, and puppies have had a series of four vaccines. All dogs are tested and are heartworm negative. In addition they have been de-wormed and kept on heartworm prevention and flea prevention while in foster care. All dogs come with a micro-chip already implanted. Adoption fees range from 175.00-235.00 depending on the dog. Many times the adoption fee does not even cover the cost of all of the vetting we have done for a dog. Our dogs are all fostered in private homes at various locations; We do not have a facility. WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD FOSTER HOMES. YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO CONSIDER FOSTERING A DOG YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. Contact leeselman@comcast for more info on fostering.
