PLEASE READ MOJO'S BIO CAREFULLY-HE IS A GREAT DOG BUT NEEDS A SPECIAL DIET AND IS NOT INTERESTED IN A DOGGY PLAYMATE--JUST LOTS OF TIME WITH HIS PEOPLE----Hi I am Mojo and I am a tiny little chihuahua / powder puff Chinese crested mix boy. I may be small in size but I have a big heart and love adventure. I love everyone but because of my small size I need a home with only adults and older very gentle children. Also because I am so small---5 pounds or a little less--soaking weight--I need a family that will watch me carefully--I can not be left outside alone as I can slip through a small hole or gate--also owls or hawks could swoop down and get me !!! Also I would love to have a family that can spend lots of time with me--I am way too social to be left alone all day. Please include me in just about everything--I ride well in the car and am a great all around boy. I do not like other animals to invade my space if you know what I mean. My foster mom feeds me really good food--the raw diet and very high quality dry food as I am small and she wants to make sure I get plenty of the things I need in good food. She says I am a very special little guy and will bring tons of joy into a very lucky home.. She said only the very best home will do for me . I will be waiting to hear from you---- contact leeselman@comcast.netAs far as food Mojo is a dog that doesn't absorb nutrients as well as another dog. The home he was in before kept him strictly on dry food and he was down to an absolute skeleton even with free-choice food. I have him on some canned and some dry if he wants to snack but he really does the best on a frozen food (such as Primal or Nature's Variety) or freeze-dried (such as Ziwi Peak). The whole foods with simple ingredients and minimal processing he does best on. These foods are more expensive but he is so tiny it is certainly worth the investment. He cannot be on any food with corn wheat or soy as these ingredients flare up skin issues for him. The good news is that any really good dog food will not have these ingredients anyway. He is also severely allergic to fleas so his new home must keep him on regualr flea prevention.
